Job summary

FirstCash, Inc. is seeking a Store Management Trainee in Houston to learn day-to-day operations and develop leadership skills while working with jewelry, electronics, tools, and more.

You will gain experience in customer service, inventory, and store performance as you train for leadership. From day one you’ll access employee discounts and participate in a benefits package; you can earn commissions up to 8% and bonus opportunities based on store performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year minimum leadership, key-holder, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided).
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic math and computer skills; POS experience a plus.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a customer-focused environment.
• Learn and support all aspects of daily store operations.
• Assist with coaching, training, and developing team members.
• Support recruiting and talent development efforts.
• Open and close the store while following asset protection and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Help drive store performance by supporting sales, loan, and profitability goals.
• Learn how to analyze business results and support operational decision-making.
• Monitor loan and buying transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Build product knowledge across a wide variety of merchandise categories.
• Complete management training and development assignments.
