Job summary

Chattanooga Goodwill Industries in LaFayette, GA seeks an Assistant Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations of donated merchandise, uphold policies, and support store objectives. You will hire, train, and supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure customer service excellence, and maintain store appearance.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and reliability; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, preferred.
• Associate degree or completion of related retail management course work preferred.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in retail, manufacturing, production, or food services preferred and/or success in Goodwill training.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills in English; bilingual a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to adapt to growth and changing environment; reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work during operating hours including days, evenings, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of donated merchandise in line with agency policies and budget projections.
• Hire, train, evaluate, motivate, and supervise store personnel to meet sales and production goals.
• Greet and assist donors and customers, providing excellent service and resolving complaints.
• Maintain store records and reports accurately and on time.
• Ensure budget adherence and maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
