Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, overseeing staffing, inventory, stocking, and merchandising. This role also involves developing an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

The candidate will assist in recruiting, inventory management, and daily store operations, including opening/closing duties and cash security practices, while ensuring a safe, well-organized shopping

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including accountability and deposits.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and terminate in compliance with policy.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Stores merchandising assistance with staging, stocking and pricing.
• Supports inventory management, damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Helps meet in-stock targets through prescribed ordering practices.
• Provides customer service leadership and supports store operations.
• Follows company procedures and participates in opening/closing.
• Ensures cash controls, key security, and safe deposit of funds.
• Maintains clean, well stocked stores and safe environment.
