Job summary

Foot Locker, Inc. in Tyler, Texas is seeking a Manager on Duty to lead the floor, coach staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll drive sales, manage daily operations, and uphold safety and SOP standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions in every customer interaction.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Maintain store organization, readiness, and smooth operations.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time and close performance gaps.
• Take ownership and jump in where needed to support priorities.
• Leverage retail tech to enhance customer experience and store ops.
