Job summary

Steve Madden is seeking a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to work closely with the Store Manager on all store operations and people development. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer experiences and upholding brand standards.

The candidate will help drive profitability through merchandising, inventory control, and loss-prevention awareness while supporting hiring and store administration tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential.
• Knowledge of retail operations including merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure standards.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through client focus and team collaboration.
• Assist in implementing visual merchandising directives to support brand strategy.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, and store administration as needed.
• Support hiring and staff development and maintain compliance with policies.
