Job summary

Steve Madden seeks a Store Assistant Manager (F/T) to support Store Manager in daily operations at our Fort Worth store. Lead a team, drive sales, manage merchandising, and deliver exceptional customer experiences aligned with brand values.

You will collaborate on staff development, training, and ensuring adherence to company standards while maintaining a high level of customer service and store performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate people and resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in staffing, coaching, and staff development.
• Experience using computer systems and POS registers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability and ensure standards.
• Create exceptional customer experiences with strong client focus.
• Implement visual merchandising directives per brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety policies.
• Assist in store operations including training, inventory, and admin.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process information through the computer system and POS.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates.
• Be flexible and willing to perform other duties.
