Job summary

Steve Madden in San Antonio, TX, seeks a Store Assistant Manager (full-time) to work with the Store Manager on operations and to guide a team of brand advocates toward delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with brand values.

You will partner on profitability, merchandising execution, coaching, training, and daily store administration, while maintaining standards and driving customer engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to train and coach staff.
• Experience with store operations including merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to maximize profitability by ensuring customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and compliance with standards.
• Create excellent customer experiences through a strong client focus and collaboration, motivating the team to deliver memorable experiences.
• Assist in implementing visual merchandising directives to align with brand strategies.
• Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor.
• Support loss prevention, safety policies, and company procedures.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, merchandising, inventory management, and store administration.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process information through the computer system and POS register.
• Assist in hiring qualified candidates and adapt to related duties.
