Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Monticello, AR is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations and customer service excellence. You will assist in supervising staff, merchandising, inventory control, and daily administrative duties to meet store goals.

The role requires knowledge of each department, strong communication, and a proactive approach to sales and customer experience. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with leadership responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and operating plans.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Act as the supervisor in the Store Manager's absence and ensure profitability across departments.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise and ensure high-quality customer service.
