Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in North Little Rock, AR is seeking an Assistant Manager to support store operations. This role reports to the Store Manager and will oversee selling, restocking, merchandising and scheduling, ensuring outstanding customer service.

The candidate should have experience in retail, preferably footwear/athletic apparel, strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player capable of leading during the Store Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter and initiative to take on important tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assist in the store in the Store Manager's absence and responsibilities.
• Recruit, train and evaluate store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards and communicate inventory trends.
• Maintain quality customer service and assist during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
• Uphold company policies and procedures.
• Protect assets and financial information via internal controls.
