Hibbett I City Gear Texarkana is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. The role covers merchandising, inventory control, and administrative duties to help meet store goals.

The position requires knowledge of product areas, ability to sell merchandise, and leadership in the Store Manager’s absence. A customer-focused, fast-paced retail background is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-player with sales focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Watch inventory movement and sales statistics to help maintain profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain excellent customer service and assist customers during peak periods.
