Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Virginia Beach to grow the brand through exceptional service and a knowledgeable store atmosphere. You will support operations, lead a sales-focused team, and drive profitability while maintaining compliance with alcohol laws.

The role requires 1–3 years in a supervisory retail role, Bachelor's degree preferred, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Competitive benefits are offered, including PTO and health plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
1–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role in retail.
Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving customer issues.
Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
