Job summary

Rothy’s in Houston, TX is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences, lead the sales floor, and manage events and daily operations. You will foster a welcoming, service-driven environment and uphold brand standards while developing a high-performing team.

As the Manager on Duty when needed, you will coach staff, oversee merchandising and shipments, and ensure the store meets goals and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong skills in coaching and developing talent on the sales floor.
• Familiarity with operational processes, including merchandising and shipment.
• Ability to stand/walk an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor and partner with Store Manager on recruiting, onboarding, and training.
• Train the team on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills and product knowledge.
• Support the Division of Responsibility (DOR) program by owning assigned areas.
• Develop team performance through coaching, check-ins, and monthly 1:1s.
• Support daily store operations and visual merchandising for a seamless experience.
