Job summary

Rothy’s is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Houston to partner with the Store Manager in driving service, sales, and operational excellence. You’ll lead on the sales floor, inspire the team, and serve as Manager on Duty when needed, supporting people leadership and business operations.

You will model the Rothy’s Experience with exceptional service, coach and develop staff, and ensure brand standards across merchandising, events, and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong coaching and developing talent on the sales floor.
• Familiarity with operational processes, including merchandising and shipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and partner with Store Manager on recruiting, onboarding, and training a strong store team.
• Train the team on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills, and product knowledge.
• Own assigned areas of responsibility within the Division of Responsibility (DOR).
• Drive team performance and engagement with coaching and 1:1s.
• Oversee daily store operations and visual merchandising for a seamless customer experience.
• Lead and model Rothy's Experience through exceptional service on the sales floor.
• Build customer loyalty through clienteling and relationship-building.
• Support goal-setting, celebrate wins, and reinforce accountability through coaching.
• Assist in planning and executing in-store events and activations to grow brand awareness.
