Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the register, stock merchandise, and support store operations as needed by the Store Manager.

Role includes leading in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring efficient checkout, accurate cash handling, and maintaining sales floor standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication required.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise guides.
• Proficiency in basic math and cash handling.
• Experience operating cash registers.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to drive to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash and cleaning duties; maintain storefronts and displays.
• Open and close the store under direction of Store Manager.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
