Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock and display merchandise, and perform store duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role includes acting in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager and assisting in daily operations across the sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays as directed.
• Clean the store and support sidewalk displays; manage store cleanliness.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
