Job summary

Chestnutmtn is seeking a full-time Shift Lead for weekends and holidays in Galena, IL. The role requires leading 10+ staff, managing cash operations, and delivering exceptional guest service while selling tickets and products.

Summary:

Looking for a full-time employee available on weekends and Holidays, both days and nights. Minimum 32 hours per week, with possibility of overtime. Performance will be evaluated every 45 days during the peak season to maintain the Shift Lead position. Applicants who are hired for but lack during Shift Lead performance reviews will be reduced to a standard sales-floor employee at the starting wage for the respective position.

Sales experience and good Customer Service skills are essential to this position. Will be meeting potentially upwards of 100+ customers individually, daily, to provide/assist with on-site sales of tickets, physical products and season passes as well as providing basic information about the resort and its services to guests. Must be able to efficiently familiarize yourself with product information and pricing to help customers find the items right for their visit. Will ensure inventory is kept up-to-date and a safe and professional looking work environment is always maintained as well as familiarizing oneself with emergency protocols. Will need to communicate with managers when items in inventory are running low and/or if a problem occurs.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. May be in charge of 10+ employees at a time, must be able to answer questions they may have, keep employees busy during slow periods and close and secure the building if necessary.
2. Performing tasks such as opening and closing out cash registers, counting money, separating charge slips, coupons and assisting with customer relations.
3. Develop product knowledge to better help our customers find what they are looking for.
4. Make sure shelves, counters, tables, display racks, etc. are presentable.
5. Help design and set up seasonal/informational displays.

Working Conditions:

Loud work environment, with varying hot and cold temperatures, must be able to sit, stand, and walk frequently. Must be able to pick up 25+lbs.
