Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor for the Marion Store - Outer. This hourly full-time role pays $19.50 per hour, requires 25% travel, and offers a monthly bonus up to $500.

You will supervise staff, ensure strong customer service, assist with scheduling, payroll, and inventory, and uphold our mission and values. Benefits include medical, dental and vision, life and AD&D, retirement plans, PTO, holidays, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year retail management experience or prior Goodwill Retail/Warehouse experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Leadership skills: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, problem-solving.
• Comfortable with workplace technology like registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff and ensure they perform their essential functions.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor/shoppers/staff retention and resolve dissatisfaction quickly.
• Coach employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties and manage scheduling to achieve operational tasks.
• Identify employees for advancement based on performance.
• Safeguard company property and report any theft or misconduct to management/HR.
• Read, follow, and enforce all agency policies and values.
• Utilize staffing methods to ensure proper coverage and arrange replacements when necessary.
• Audit, edit, and approve payroll; seek efficiency improvements.
• Maintain professional dress and adhere to dress code.
