Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Belleville Store is looking for an energetic Retail Shift Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise staff, provide excellent customer service, and support daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role is hourly full-time with a $19.50 hourly rate and a monthly bonus up to $500. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 403(b)/401(a) retirement options, plus PTO, holidays, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year of retail management or relevant Goodwill experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Strong leadership: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, problem-solving.
• Comfortable with registers, scheduling, and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform duties.
• Provide superior customer service to donors, shoppers, and staff.
• Coach employees on performance and discipline when needed.
• Assign daily duties and manage payroll and staffing.
• Identify candidates for advancement and monitor store operations.
• Protect store assets and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and process improvements.
• Maintain professional appearance and dress code; follow company values.
• Other duties as assigned.
