Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill in Chesterfield is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to support daily store operations. The position is hourly full-time with a $19.50 hourly rate and a monthly bonus potential.

The role involves supervising staff, delivering strong customer service, coaching employees, and ensuring payroll accuracy while upholding company policies and values. Flexible schedules and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; no degree required.
• 1 year retail management experience or prior Goodwill/Retail/Warehouse experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution and teamwork.
• Leadership skills like decision-making, motivation, goal-setting and problem-solving.
• Comfortable with registers and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff and ensure they perform their duties.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor/shoppers/staff retention and de-escalate issues.
• Coach employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily job duties to achieve store tasks.
• Identify employees for advancement based on performance.
• Safeguard company property and report theft or misconduct.
• Enforce agency policies and uphold values.
• Ensure staffing and payroll accuracy; arrange replacements as needed.
• Identify wasteful practices and drive improvements.
• Maintain professional appearance and dress code.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $500.
