Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor for our Belleville Store - N Belt Wteam. The role supports the mission, engages in coaching, and ensures excellent customer service while managing staff in a fast-paced retail setting.

The position offers an hourly rate of $19.50, with a monthly bonus up to $500 and comprehensive benefits for full-time employees. No degree required; 1 year retail management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year retail management or Goodwill/Retail experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including customer service and teamwork.
• Leadership skills including decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, and problem-solving.
• Comfortable with registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train assigned staff and ensure they perform essential functions.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor, shopper, and staff satisfaction and de-escalate issues.
• Counsel employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties and monitor achievement of operational tasks.
• Identify candidates for advancement based on performance.
