MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Shift Supervisor for the Kansas City Store - Midtown to lead front-line staff, ensure outstanding customer service, and uphold company values. The role focuses on daily operations, staff coaching, and adherence to policies in a dynamic retail environment.

The position offers hourly full-time work with a competitive rate of $19.50 per hour, plus a monthly bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
1 year retail management or related Goodwill/warehouse experience required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including customer service and teamwork.
Leadership skills: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, problem-solving.
Comfortable using registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform their duties.
Provide excellent customer service to maintain donor, shopper, and staff satisfaction.
Coach employees on performance, including discipline if needed.
Assign daily tasks to achieve store objectives.
Identify staff for advancement based on performance.
Safeguard store property and reporting theft or misconduct.
Follow all agency policies and values.
Arrange staffing and approve payroll; use efficient scheduling.
Identify wasteful practices and drive process improvements.
Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
Perform other duties as assigned.
