Job summary

Palmetto Goodwill is seeking a Retail Shift Leader I to assist in daily store operations at the Mount Pleasant/Six Mile location. You will supervise staff, manage donations, and ensure high levels of customer service while promoting the agency values.

This full-time role requires leadership in a busy retail environment to support mission impact. Responsibilities include coaching team members, maintaining efficient donation processing, and upholding safety and merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret memos and operating/ procedure manuals.
• Demonstrate clear, courteous communication in person and over the phone.
• Accurately perform basic arithmetic and handle transactions.
• Coach and develop team members through on‑the‑job training.
• Enter data accurately into the point‑of‑sale and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Retail Store Manager in daily operations and staff oversight.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons and donors.
• Perform cashier duties, price and stock donations, and maintain merchandising standards.
• Support training of new team members and monitor store safety and cleanliness.
