Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina (Palmetto Goodwill) seeks a Retail Supervisor to lead store activities and staff in the absence of the Store Manager. You will ensure smooth operations, uphold policies, and address customer and team concerns.

The role emphasizes training team members, planning and directing work, and reporting circumstances to the Retail Store Manager or Assistant Manager. Previous retail supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret memos and operating and procedure manuals.
• Effectively present standard information to customers and team members with tact.
• Add/subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10's and 100's.
• Apply written or oral instructions.
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables.
• Operate a telephone, multi-key register, typewriter, computer, and other equipment.
• Obtain Forklift/Stacker and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Perform data entry and keyboarding.
• Instruct or verify the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead retail team and store activities in the absence of/director of the Store Manager.
• Train team members, plan, assign, and direct work; address concerns.
• Report circumstances to the Retail Store Manager or Retail Assistant Store Manager.
