Job summary

Hudson Group is seeking a Retail Shift Manager I to support location management in delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will ensure operational readiness, maintain clean and organized storefronts, and supervise hourly associates during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, approving timekeeping punches, monitoring inventory, handling POS transactions, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Requires minimum of 6 months of supervisory or lead experience in retail, specialty retail, or customer service environment.
• Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs during shifts and ensure brand standards compliance.
• Maintain clean, stocked displays and report maintenance needs.
• Review timekeeping punches and monitor overtime for compliance.
• Assign tasks and ensure breaks in accordance with labor laws.
• Provide coaching to improve performance and standards.
• Operate POS systems and handle transactions following cash policies.
• Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
• Train staff on brand standards and visual merchandising.
