Job summary

Hudson by Avolta in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Retail Shift Manager to support location leadership and ensure outstanding customer experiences. You will maintain operational readiness through cleanliness, proper staffing, and adherence to high retail and brand standards using prescribed policies.

Key duties include coaching associates, managing timekeeping, processing POS transactions, monitoring inventory, and executing planograms and seasonal displays while ensuring compliance with labor

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience.
• 6 months supervisory or lead experience in retail or customer service environment.
• Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs during shifts, coach associates to maintain standards.
• Keep merchandise displays clean, stocked, and visually appealing; monitor equipment and report issues.
• Review timekeeping punches and monitor overtime to ensure labor-law compliance.
• Assign tasks to associates and ensure mandated breaks and meals per regulations.
• Escalate performance concerns to leadership and provide coaching to improve performance.
• Operate POS systems and process transaction voids; follow cash handling policies.
• Monitor inventory, assist with receiving, report discrepancies and stock-outs.
• Train staff on brand standards and visual merchandising; ensure planogram compliance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create compelling displays for themed products.
