Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in customer service, store operations, and shift management in the absence of management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will help ensure responsive service.

The role emphasizes leading team members, managing showroom service levels, and handling routine operational tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desireable: retail sales experience in auto parts.
• Knowledge of automotive systems and repair is preferred.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and execute on customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure with the electronic ledger.
• Process customer returns and exchanges; issue refunds with correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules; clock in/out per policy; assist with opening/closing duties and security.
