Job summary

Michaels in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and process transactions in a fast, accurate checkout. You’ll also unload trucks, stock merchandise, and keep shelves well organized to meet customer needs.

You'll participate in omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pick Up In Store and Ship From Store, assist with planograms, and help maintain store recovery standards. The role requires strong customer service skills and reliability.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties; maintain store recovery standards.
• Assist customers with locating products and providing solutions.
• Handle cash and provide a fast, accurate checkout experience.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll customers.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys.
• Support Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) activities.
• Perform merchandise recovery and maintain in-stock conditions; manage returns/go-backs.
• Carry out Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Follow SOPs and company policies; maintain professionalism.
• Interact respectfully with colleagues and customers; exemplify company values.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
