Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the Manager's absence, with bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

The position emphasizes leading a team to deliver excellent service to retail and professional customers, handling orders, returns, and daily store procedures with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Required: Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Desired: Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom including program execution.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process BOPs and transfers and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds, and stage merchandise correctly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Adhere to posted work schedule, manager approvals for changes, and proper clocking in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, and secure cash/deposits.
• All other duties as assigned.
