Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and team in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the manager’s absence and emphasis on delivering excellent customer experiences to both retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process and stage returns; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule; clock in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties including day end procedures and securing deposits.
• All other duties as assigned.
