Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Colton, CA is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership with sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may assume shift management duties in the absence of managers.

You will lead team members, ensure policy-adherent phone handling, process transfers and online orders, manage returns, and support opening/closing procedures while maintaining a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team execution of customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges smoothly; issue refunds with correct payment methods and stage returned merchandise properly.
• Invoicing of all merchandise (including core charges and warranties) before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure staff follow posted schedules; clock in/out per policy and management approves deviations.
• Perform opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; secure money/deposits and lock/unlock delivery vehicles as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
