Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will also assume shift management in the absence of managers.

The position emphasizes strong communication, bilingual encouragement, and overseeing service programs while ensuring accurate processing of orders, returns, and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Ensure orders and transfers are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Ensure returns are processed in an efficient and friendly manner and refunds are issued using correct payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before it leaves the store.
• Direct communication of tasks and adherence to posted work schedules.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and security procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
