Job summary

Macy's is hiring a Selling and Support Captain to lead customer service and merchandising efforts on the sales floor. You will drive promotions and Omni selling initiatives while aligning with People Leaders to communicate priorities and support career growth opportunities such as Personal Stylist or Sales and Customer Experience Manager.

Full-time schedule with 30+ hours per week, focusing on delivering outstanding customer experiences, merchandising excellence, and collaboration with store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of direct retail experience preferred.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer orders and assist on the selling floor to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Lead colleagues in the execution and completion of assigned tasks.
• Role model and provide fast feedback to improve customer experiences.
• Ensure high level of customer service through problem solving and customer-focused resolutions.
• Promote Macy's mobile app to enhance the in-store experience.
• Coordinate with People Leaders to plan store activities and monitor performance.
• Provide continuous feedback to improve processes and customer experience.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures, including alarm access and cash handling.
• Educate colleagues on point-of-sale technology and RF equipment used in selling and fulfillment.
• Foster an inclusive environment and build authentic connections with customers and colleagues.
