Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring a Sales Manager (Full Time) for the Timonium area. You will lead front-end and service operations, drive selling behaviors, and coach a high-performing team to achieve KPIs.

Expect hands-on leadership, POS proficiency, and active participation in omni-channel initiatives. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of retail leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and store results.

Retail leadership experience in a fast-paced store environment.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to coach others.
Ability to train, develop and motivate team members to achieve KPIs.

Responsibilities

Lead and ensure SOPs and company programs are followed.
Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to boost conversion.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain store leadership and operations.
Oversee POS and Self-Checkout use and ensure smooth transactions.
Drive loyalty program enrollment and customer retention through consistent execution.
Support franchise services and in-store programs (MCC/Extend) and protection plans.
Oversee Knit & Sew Shop activities and the Cut Bar experience for relevant volumes.
Coordinate BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for timely order fulfillment.
Assist in Custom Framing consultations and coordination with framing shops.
Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
