Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving sales and an engaging customer experience. The role oversees front-end and service operations, ensuring brand standards and operational execution.

You will coach and develop team members, manage POS and Self-Checkout, support omni-channel services, and promote loyalty programs while maintaining asset protection and efficient day-to-day operations.

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading front-end and service operations.
• Ability to coach and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintaining floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (Balloons, birthday parties).
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive sales and omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
