Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager for our East Hanover, NJ store to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales results. You will oversee front-end and service operations, ensure adherence to SOPs, and coach staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will provide MOD coverage, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and support omni-channel initiatives like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead store teams and coach associates.
• Strong customer service mindset and POS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy execution and standards across the store.
• Coach customer experience and selling behaviors to improve conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and protection plan offerings.
• Drive sales and omni-channel order fulfillment (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
