Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Springfield, VA seeks a proactive Retail Sales Manager to lead store teams, champion a high-performing selling culture, and drive sales KPIs. You will oversee front-end operations, customer experience, POS systems, and in-store programs while ensuring compliance with SOPs and policies.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing MOD coverage, and delivering strong omni-channel service with BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
Execute standards, policies, and uphold store conditions and results.
Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversions and satisfaction.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
Oversee in-store programs like Balloons, birthday parties, loyalty enrollment, and omnichannel delivery.
Drive Knit & Sew Shop performance and frame shop coordination in volume frames.
Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery operations for timely fulfillment.
Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
