Michaels is hiring a Sales Manager at our Springfield, VA location. You will lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, guiding front-end and service operations to meet KPIs and deliver an engaging customer experience.

Expect coaching, SOP adherence, and omnichannel execution in a fast-paced retail environment. The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, strong customer focus, and the ability to train and develop team members, while managing POS systems and store programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong coaching and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance.
• Ensure policies and standards are followed; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Coach customer-experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, birthday parties, Knit & Sew Shop, Cut Bar).
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to boost retention.
• Drive omni-channel service (BOPIS and Same Day Delivery).
• Train, coach, and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
