Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager for the Suffolk, VA area to lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving strong sales and an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end operations, POS usage, and in-store programs with a focus on customer satisfaction and KPI achievement. You will coach teams, ensure adherence to SOPs and brand standards, and provide MOD coverage to maintain leadership on the floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store and drive strong sales results.
• Oversee front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent execution of selling behaviours and brand standards.
• Coach team through customer-focused coaching to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage to maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for timely fulfillment.
