Job summary

The Salvation Army in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a part-time Sales Lead to join our RETAIL team. The role reports to the Store Manager/Assistant Manager and focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing merchandise, and supporting daily store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role with Store Manager in daily store operations.
• Assists in opening/closing procedures and POS operations.
• Monitors inventory and donations; maintains ARC merchandising standards.
• Schedules staff coverage and provides coaching and development to employees.
• Ensures customer and donor satisfaction and builds community relations.
