Job summary

The Salvation Army San Jose Thrift Store is seeking a SALES LEAD to support daily on-site operations and supervise a dynamic retail team. You will help drive sales, ensure donor and customer satisfaction, and maintain store standards in a fast-paced environment.

As a Sales Lead, you will partner with the Store Manager to manage openings, closings, inventory, and staff scheduling while upholding ARC policies and community relations.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations including opening/closing, POS, inventory management, and donations.
• Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze KPIs to drive store sales and profitability.
• Schedule store employees to ensure appropriate coverage and lead team meetings.
• Provide coaching, training and development to store staff. Maintain customer and donor satisfaction with excellent service.
• Ensure security of store currency, inventory and property; uphold ARC policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Back Room Processing and ensure processing goals are met.
• Be flexible to transfer or relocate to other stores as needed.
