Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Sales Manager at our Fairmont, WV location to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive sales while delivering an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end and service operations, model top customer service, coach staff, and ensure efficient day-to-day execution aligned with brand standards.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, hands-on coaching, and strong POS/checkout operations proficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure adherence to policies, standards, and store conditions.
• Model customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS, Self-Checkout, and omni-channel service for timely fulfillment.
• Oversee balloons, events, loyalty programs and in-store programs.
• Promote MCC/Extend services and protection plans.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in knit & sew shop areas.
• Train and develop team through onboarding and skill-building.
• Maintain asset protection and reduce shrink.
