Job summary

Citi Trends is hiring a Store Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive, vigilant individual who engages with customers, communicates effectively, and contributes to a positive store culture and change management within Store Operations.

The Sales Associate will handle freight processing, price changes, and balance the register while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Process freight and stock the sales floor.
• Assist with price changes and markdowns.
• Balance register according to company policy.
• Bag merchandise efficiently during transactions.
• Handle all cash, checks and credit cards correctly per policy.
• Obtain management approval for returns/voids and checks.
• Maintain cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide customer service: greet customers, assist with fitting rooms, ring up, and thank customers.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Keep a professional appearance with name tag.
• Assist management in merchandising on the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Support Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
