Job summary

New Balance is seeking Retail Sales Associates in New York City to ensure stores run smoothly and deliver exemplary customer service. You will use expert product knowledge and the GUEST service model to guide customers through every step of the transaction.

Responsibilities include fitting customers with the right NB products, promoting current promotions, keeping the floor pristine, and maintaining accurate pricing. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and the GUEST service model: Greet, Understand, Educate, Solve, Transact.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with NB products.
• Inform customers about promotions.
• Keep the floor neat, organized and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and priced correctly.
• Protect products by tagging, monitoring, and reporting shrinkage and security issues.
• Follow safety regulations and report accidents/near misses.
