The role requires a proactive, vigilant individual who communicates effectively and works well in a dynamic retail environment. You will support store operations, merchandising, and loss prevention efforts while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assists with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Maintains and performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and thanking them for shopping at the store.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
