Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain knowledge of merchandise, and support a positive work culture on the retail floor.

The role requires proactive engagement with customers, integrity, strong communication, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic store environment. The position reports to Store Management within Store Operations and involves in-store duties, basic math tasks, and adherence to company policies including loss prevention

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customer in a timely fashion, and thanking customers.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Keeps a professional, neat appearance including wearing a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures to prevent shoplifting and cash losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
