Job summary

Essentia Health Brainerd Clinic seeks a licensed Pharmacist to interpret, dispense and monitor medications, optimizing drug therapy and providing immunizations to patients and providers. The role includes participation in clinical initiatives, training of staff, and supervision of technicians and interns.

You will perform daily pharmacy operations, assist in billing and audits, manage inventory, and ensure accurate cash handling while upholding high quality pharmaceutical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by ACPE (BS or PharmD).
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Minnesota or Wisconsin; licensure within 90 days of hire if transferring.
• BLS certification within one week of hire; Immunization Delivery Certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, dispense and monitor medications to provide quality pharmaceutical services.
• Optimize drug therapy to improve patient outcomes and provide immunizations.
• Participate in clinical initiatives and support daily pharmacy department activities.
• Train new staff and supervise technicians/interns; resolve customer service issues.
• Handle billing, record keeping, monthly audits, and other essential duties.
• Manage inventory, care for supplies/equipment, and accurate cash handling.
