Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program in Michigan. Selected candidates will complete a 4-8 week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, followed by a certification to qualify for the Retail Personal Banker job family.

The role emphasizes using consultative sales to identify and meet customer financial needs while building new households and strengthening existing relationships.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in financial industry is preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Understanding of advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
• Professional appearance and communication.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures for sound decisions.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment via NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Refer customers to partners for holistic financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism.
