Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program. Selected candidates will rotate through operations and Sales & Service, earn certification, and transition to a Personal Banker I in the Financial Center or Bank Mart environments.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, customer profiling, and cross-selling to build relationships while processing teller transactions. This 4–8 week onboarding includes training across branches, platforms, and risk awareness.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience with transferable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer households and cross-sell existing customers.
• Ability to analyze credit and financial information with advanced math functions.
• Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build a customer profile and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products and recommend solutions.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities.
• Refer customers to partners to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals.
