Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Michigan is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program. Selected individuals will complete a 9-week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in a certification to demonstrate skills for the Retail Personal Banker family.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in terms of appearance and verbal/written communication.
• This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions using the value proposition.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to the existing customer base and engage in outside sales activities.
• Coordinate with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, Investment) to provide timely financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and responsibly manage risk and compliance.
