Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Commerce Township, MI is seeking a Personal Banker Associate I to begin with a 4–8 week onboarding, with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. The program leads to a Retail Personal Banker role focused on consultative sales and bank services, serving new households and deepening existing relationships.

The position requires cross-selling, teamwork with partners, and adherence to risk and policy standards. Some travel and training are included as part of the program.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions that will allow for analysis of credit and financial information.
• This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).

Responsibilities

• Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend solutions using our value proposition.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Collaborate with Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) to provide holistic financial solutions.
